Initial assessment

If you are looking to access any part of our service as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, you will be offered an assessment appointment.  This involves one of the team spending about an hour with you to gather a brief history and give you further information about SALT.  Part of the purpose of this is to ensure that our work with you is carried out in a safe manner, as well as supporting you to make informed choices.  The assessment is a chance for both you and us to decide if SALT is the best way ahead for you.  If we feel that you would be best served by accessing a different type of supporting service then we will talk to you about it at this assessment.

If a decision is taken that you will proceed to having sessions with SALT you will be asked to sign a Contract committing to work with your issues  and our Code of Practice will be explained.
